Yeah there are quite a few guys in that area N to Lagrange / Newnan, Phoenix City AL as well.
There was an Arsenal there during the war + Some Late War Action there, that said Relics can be anywhere.

Pick up a copy of "Columbus, Georgia 1865". It details the last true battle of the civil war fought in Columbus. Barnes and Noble book store in Columbus has it but it can be found cheaper on the internet.
