Probably because of extensive mining operations, Colorado has more known meteorites recovered for its size (104100 square miles) than most other states. I have over 50 recovered meteorites from the state, which is too large for a posting to TNet, even in abbreviated form. For more information, go to Meteoritical Society's website and search for Colorado meteorites. Colorado would logically be expected to have many, many more meteorites than are currently known.
