After some research i decided to check out a Colonial Tavern cellar:icon_thumleft:

The area was amazingly clear of brush for the most part..
As soon as i walked on site i got a nice decor coat size button:headbang:
Now we all know this gets the heart pumping instantly:laughing7:
Then i grabbed a Ct copper in decent shape

Right after that i pulled what i think is a Hibernia coin:dontknow:Any help on this one:coffee2:

Decided to throw the small coil on and browse the trash areas and got a smoked coin..Its the size of a copper but thin like a 1/2 Reale:dontknow:

Then browsing the wall i pulled out a huge Dandy button my favorite

You all know my adrenaline was going and i thought it was a GW button:unhappysmiley:All i could see was the decor around the edge:laughing7:

This was Saturday for a few hours..

Went back today and again i walked to the lower section and got a insane signal i said this has to be false..Out flips a good size silver coin encrusted with dirt..Struggling to get my camera out i was almost certain it was a 8 Reale..Out pops ole Benjamin it was a surprise:laughing7: Then right next to that a 1917 merc...

Walked over to a good size boulder they were quarrying and pulled a LC,then another, another and one more:headbang::headbang:
4 largies in a row..All Matron heads but smoked..Sad he bummed about losing these being a Tavern right there:unhappysmiley:

Then a faint signals gives me a 178? 1/2 Reale

Towards the end i headed back up towards the cellar and got another CT copper and a Flinlock toy pistol..

Finally got a decent hunt in the season is here:hello:

Since my season is over I'm relying on you guys to pick up the slack for me, and you're definitely not disappointing. You had a killer day on coins. And I feel for ya with that Ben Franklin. I know that was a heartstopper even if just for a moment. But it could have been, just not this time. Keep pounding that place and maybe that big early silver will come. Great hunt!

Well done Mr. Blaze :notworthy:

That's my kind of digging there! You must have been having a blast buddy :headbang:

I love those two decorative buttons, one of the Connecticut's looks pretty good too, but that toy pistol is the first colonial toy gun I have seen. That is a killer find.

NICE JB.....Very Nice!!!
Congrats!! :icon_thumright:

dam nice finds there!

Half dozen Coppers, big Silver, and a Spanish, Good Job.

I probably go poke around there one more time.

JOHNNY BLAZIN!!!!!!!!!

Wish I could find a place like that...way to go!!!!!!!

Sweet JB! Do you have any info on the mini flintlock? I'm assuming it's a period toy... If not it's one helluva coincidence.

Steve this site has your name all over it:icon_thumleft:

The funny thing is on the 1895 map it was still there but not 1 single find from that period:dontknow:
I am sure someone has been in here before the finds are not popping out that easy..Well easier:laughing7:
