Driving through Providence today noticed a large hill area of woods and what looked to be a cellar..
Sure enough it was half of 1 the main road took out the other half :-\
Walked up in the woods found the privy right behind it.Also the trash pit area..
It was a total mess behind it being in the city..
But a 10 minute quick over revealed these finds :icon_thumleft: I was actually working at this time :laughing9:
Im gonna have to sift were i found the snake pin as i think there was a gem in the center.
There are two snakes on it and 1 snake had 2 red gem eyes..One is missing..
Its a pretty cool pin..
Ill be slammin this area hard
You know how we do it :laughing7:

Love the pin :icon_thumright:

Your pin is a good find, although it is most certainly not colonial. The metalwork is late-19th c.

Hey thanks alot for all your opinions guys

Most of you are more familiar with this stuff than me.

But i must say that i found the completely overgrown grave yard not far fron the cellar and the most recent date that a person died is 1824..And the newest coin was a 1819 large cent...Which is my last name..Im not 100% sure but i might be detecting my ancestors homesite :o

Your uncles are taking great care of you! I'll bet all kinds of treasure would fall and hit you on the head if you were just sitting under the apple tree. Maybe they left a little something "special" for you. Dig on, grasshopper.
