Howdy everyone Oct. was wild month for me, I went to gettysberg and found a wedding ring lost 10 years ago and as reward i got permission to detect a farm 1 mile from gettysberg!!! and got to detect and concentrate on a colonial village long forgotten about in NJ..then we went to chichen -itza and cozumel on a cruise that was just awsome... I spent 3 weeks hunting in NJ Oct... 2 days in Pa.
I have bags of relics, bullets, jewelry, and coins from the hunts it will take me weeks to take pics of everything im gonna post a day by day of the hunts on my website in the next few weeks...
but here are some shots of the finds , the best coin finds were a couple NJ coppers, some reales, a few beautiful capped bust coins i put the good coin finds in plastic sleeves... a rare button Smiley , 3 pocket watches, 1 colonial and 1 victorian era change purses, a monster supply of buckles!! lol lol... it was just a great time and lots of finds... i cant wait to go back in the spring

Jd, Welcome back my man. It's great to hear from you again. we all missed the heck out of you. I see you havent lost any of your professional abilities. What a haul to say the least. Coppers, silvers, relics out the wazoo. Man oh man. One of these days we all will have to get together for a colonial detectathon. Kirk and Kyle and I have been hitting the spots pretty hard this year with decent results.Once again I wish you the best and for god sakes man post more often will ya? :D

I just noticed the link to your website in profile...couldn't see the forest for the trees I guess.

Could you seperate the reales (my area of interest) and take a pic of them on their own? Pity to have them buried in that one pic.

thanks guys!! hogge your right its a the button with the log cabin is an 1840 william henry harrision campain button in great shape i just love it1! hh all jd

I'm just flabbergasted with those finds...W :o W!! Telling me about them then seeing the pictures are just totally two different things, I'm truly amazed. The change purse kinda looks like the one in Wayne's museum. The emerald ring, is that the wedding ring?

For those of you who do not know, between JD's trip to PA/NJ and the cruise to Cozumel, I had the pleasure of treating JD and wife to a little bit of Louisiana's lagniappe. http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,197250.0.html I'm sure he will be posting some of those pics as well. As I recall the last phone conversation with JD, he'll never leave home again without his MD. ::)

 RR

Those are some great finds. I can't wait to see the pictures of the cleaned coins. You hit a good field close to Gettysburg.
