Nothing really special, but I'm bored, so might as well post 'em up.
Few tombac flats, yet another crusty copper, spoon. All the usual colonial stuff. Man, I need to get out here soon, at least fall is on the way!

This piece is a bit of an oddity. It's egg shaped and made from a similiar metal to crotal bells. It's hollow, but is filled with either some type of plaster or maybe even lead from the weight of it, the "filling" flops around a bit and the hole goes completely through.. Coins found in the vacinity were mostly mid to late 1700s.
I might post it up in the what is it forum but I'll stick it here for now. My only thought was super tiny doorknob >.<

I'm getting there, a bottle of robaxacet goes a long way, still don't think I'll be doing any digging for a week or two. Any finds are still good finds, I'll be glad when this heat gets done with! Was hoping to convince my bro to go check out a 1700s shipbuilding site, but likely gonna have to postpone that!

Yeah, I wanna save the really good stuff for the fall anyways! :tongue3:

It could be a bead. If it's colonial there a good possibility indians were at/around/near there as well. Never know! Nice finds as well; silver is always welcome.

Thank you Crusader. I re-read the description after I wrote my comment :-[. Sometimes the foot switches with the fingers. Cool find for him either way.

Tis what I was figuring after remembering the annoying doorknob in my grandparents 200 year old house...which reminds me I need to start digging up their lawn! ;D Er, well, hayfield. :tongue3:

Though I cannot provide Picture I have something similiar an oval about 1" with wires attached to smaller balls (Think Fishing Swivel)it was Id.ed as a set of surveyors rods that could be folded.
I will add a picure of a similiar type maybe tomorrow.
