Sounds like a great hunting spot like to see the crusty coin once you clean it. Welcome to tnet

Any modern trash at the site?

The curved item looks like art of a vintage pocket ashtray.

We need a couple different angles on the cylinder item.

Hi Tommy, it's been a real good site. It's on the edge of the Francis Marrion State Park I surrounded by swamp. I went out last week and found those items but many others in the past 2 years. I try not to go there in the summer due to bugs snakes and heat. I got pretty bit up by chiggers and spiders on this last trip. I also stay away in the fall due to hunting so time is very limited. I have found several of those copper coins but cannot identify them. When I clean them up, they are basically smooth. That swamp is a tough environment. The only detail that I have is they are 1 inch wide. Any ideas. I have found a George ll and identified it but cannot read the date on it. Knowing I could not see anything on one of them, I used a piece of 4000 grit sandpaper to slowly remove a little corrosion. It looks like a shield on one side. I have no idea.

Hi Matt, I have not found anything modern is this area. Very uncommon, I know. It's about a half hour hike through mostly swamp.

What does the top side of the spoon shaped object look like? I am wondering if it was worn o. A thumb by an industrial worker or needle work seeing person.

The swamp fox! I did a report on him in like the 6th grade. I remember that name and something about guerrilla warfare.
