Know nothing about them,but they are cool looking.Thanks for sharing
 

from what i have been told about buckles they would date to after 1750
buckles before that time would of had a cross piece on the u shaped part
like this one

The one on the left is a shoe buckle, until the invention of the motor car, horses were the sole means of transport. Spurs therfore were in constant use by the 17th century and become everyday dress of men, these buckles had to be strong and slightly butterfly shaped, so as to make it easier to insert the leather strap, between the frame and the bar, which kept the spur fittings in place.
The one on the right looks a bit later, and proberbly a sash type buckle, perhaps 1900's....two nice buckles :thumbsup:
