Got out yesterday solo for a couple of hours.
Found a nice IMO old buckle, I'm going to guess age at about 1600's to 1720, anyone ?
I like it because of it being complete, the tongue is cast brass like the frame.
And a nice condition New Brunswick 1 Cent, wish they all came out so good, caught it on a live dig which is a bit of a bonus.

Nice digs Rick, interesting buckle!

That buckle is really cool! Certainly looks like it's in your date range. I've heard people say the plain ones are older while the newer ones were designed.

Almost missed your post, post drop quick on this forum with so many posting...Looks like a nice early buckle there and the coin is in great shape....gotta love that easy digging! Congrats

Yep I did mention the "easy digging" as up here on the mountain it is mostly rocks, I love the valley sopil, and as a bonus the sand tends to show better condition on the coppers, as evidenced by more than a few of my digs.
You guys been doing well, many more finds than I've been making off my tired old sites.

That is a killer buckle Rick
