As the weather has been getting pretty cold here in Rhode Island, I've been trying to get out detecting every chance I get before its too cold. Went to a local park and went over some of the spots I have hunted before but usually erode with bad weather. It turned out to be a good idea as I ended up finding 3 Indian Head pennies and a Barber Dime over the past few days. Two of the Indian Heads were half sticking out of the soil. I can't believe that they were all in spots I've hunted before! The 1890 IH is in good shape and the "Liberty" can still be seen on the head dress. Well, hopefully I'll get a few more days to go out and go into winter on a good note!

Also, I just noticed when I took a picture of the 1890 IH the "9" looks like it could be an "8". I can't tell for sure but it looks like an "8" over the "9". Has anyone ever seen this before?
