Battled temps around 30 and 2" of frozen ground this afternoon. No wind though so it wasnt that bad and i was able to put in around 3 hours. I used my Tesoro Cibola this time and found that it really likes big iron but was still able to get one IHP, an old bullet, some buttons and yes two more seated dimes. An 1877 with good detail and an 1854 O. This makes 11 seated dimes now since January

Awesome score on the seated ! I see you have a AT pro with a Nel coil , how do you like it ? I bought one for mine havent used it much I guess I should break it in good this year.

I love the setup. Its great for covering large areas like this field. Its also a litle deeper and nearly same weight as stock coil. Ive found quite a few nice items mixed in with iron so its separation is decent. Not as good as the 5 x 8 but that coil is just too small for covering a lot of ground

Great finds Im not the only one to go out in the cold this weekend 10 below wind chills too cold couple more wee3ks we should be out of this sh..... Good job Im jeleous keep postin

I'm wondering, just how important is it to cover "a lot of ground"? I could see it if there's some sort of time issue. Like one needs to get finished before the next crop is planted.
don't get me wrong, specialty coils have their use as much as any other tool in a mechanic's box. I'm just wondering, (I'm not familiar with this coil), how much bigger is it and how much more ground would be covered?

In any case, I love the results!

Its 12 x 13 so not really much bigger than stock. Eventually i want to grid off the iron infested areas on this site and use my 5 x 8.
