cold night pulled pork bbq pizza

I'd starve. I did keto for a while some years ago and it is really hard to keep the carbs that low. Kudos for your dedication!
I went on 50 carb a day diet for 6 months, lost over 60 lbs, I raised it to 100 a day to stop losing so much weight, can't afford to keep buying new clothes i stay between 175'180 now? Was 228.

I save most of my carbs till the evenings. Usually by 5pm I'm still under 20. Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years are free days and I usually give myself 1 free day a month.

That's impressive! Congrats! Was is solely a weight loss issue, or was it a blood sugar issue? (Just curious. Sounds like it worked, either way.)

That's good. Good for your sanity, too, I'd imagine. (I mean, the will power it would take to get through a thanksgiving feast with under 100g of carbs.... Wow. I bet a single slice of pie is more than that, and who has just a single slice of pie? 8-) )

As for the pizza...

My favorite is homemade, whole wheat/sourdough crust, plenty of meat, baked on a pizza stone in the big green egg. Relatives have told me I should open a shop and sell them. Sounds like a lot of work.

It was strictly due to my diabetes diagnosis, I decided if they were going to start dissecting me, it wasn't going to be because I was too lazy to do something about it.

I got my A1c down to 6 now. What is funny is when I carry two 25 lbs dumbbells in gym now I think that I use to carry them every where I went before.

I do 1 to1.5 miles on treadmill and 5-6 miles on bike for 60-75 mins aerobics then 4-6 weight stations a day.

Worked out 28 days last month, 20 days this month so far. 298 days last year, 306 year before, started in June of 2022, had 164 that year I end up missing 3-4 days a month for doctors, mechanics, sickness and hurricanes.

I'm in the best shape I've been i since my karate days, I did 6 days a week training then, ran 5 miles 5 days a week and fought full contact 2-3 times week in dojo with gloves, I took taekwando for 7 years, I was 2nd degree black when life got in the way.

For first 6 months my stomach thought my throat was cut till I got use to it. My stomach must have shrank because I can't eat the quanity I use to eat.

We go to Asian buffet once or twice a month, but I still maintain my low carb count, staying away from anything high carb.

I liked the deep dish Chicago style with lots of toppings. I make them with pita bread at home, less than 10 carbs for 8" inch pizza.

I'm still on 100 carbs a day diet, on my 31st month at gym of 7 days a week workouts.
If I were on a carb diet like that, I would have actually starved to death many years ago! Fast metabolism and had to eat mass quantities for food to maintain my weight. I don't eat so much now (78 yrs.) but if I slack off any I still lose weight!

If it wasn't for diabetes I would be eating a lot more potatoes, pasta, beans, and bread.
