Seriously.. save your money. The user interface on the CS just plain STINKS!! Imean STINKS, as in who dat molestin' that there skunk? Really, Fisher stepped in it big time with both the Coinstrike and the Goldstrike. There's a reason they sell so cheap, new and used. ..Willy

Willey is right, save your money on this one.

that bad uh? i 've noticed alot of love it or hate reviews, thanks ok i guess i'll stick to the 1200 series stuff then.

so... willy tell me how you really feel about the coinstrike LOL, but i'm steering clear of it for sure!

I owned one several years back. I had a real love - hate relationship with it before I finally got tired of it. It's a heavy machine that wears you out fast and it can't tell the difference between junk metal and a good target. That was the breaking point for me.
It does go very very deep - that it can do.
I wound up hating it in the end.
BUT there is those that swear by it. Hope I didn't step on their toes, sorry if I did.

Here's some reading

I agree with the general consensus on this one.

All of the things above plus the fact that only a coil made for a Coinstrike will work on them, and they aren't popular at all!

In my opinion the Coinstrike is even worse than the very first F-75's were, (at least First Texas fixed the '75!) and I suppose F/T didn't want to bother with any revisions on the Coinstrike!

Regards All!

Its a good machine, but make sure have a rain cover on it. Also, the keep the 5 pin plug washer tight, otherwise it may break on you and you have to get it fixed. It is heavy, with the 10 inch coil. If you can get one cheap,go for it,but take real good care of it and it will find you nice coins!!!
