coin question?

I was just talking about my extras....I know they say it kills value just wanted to know what others think. I was going to put a book together for my kid with clean cents. Didn't do this to get criticized but hey it's all good

There is no eye appeal to a shiny polished circulated cent. Do your kids a favor and leave them as is.

Do not touch them. Leave them alone and just put them in the book. There is usually a place holder for the reverse side of the cent in the books so that you can see what the wheat side looks like since the date side is always up. If you want your kids to be able to see the beauty of the coin, maybe polish up a common 50's date and put it into that slot. Otherwise, I would leave them alone.

You also gotta think that wheat values may be going up quite a bit once we are able to scrap all those copper cents.
