coin or not?

not sure about this, I can't find any detail on it that tells me it's a coin

Strange, it looks like it has the Star of David carved into it. I could not see that with the naked eye. Maybe its just coincidence and random lines but it sure looks uniform.

Any Ideas?

might be part of a old small value spanish silver coin ( like a 1 reale )--they were often cut into pieces to make "small change"

Agreed, If you look at the second pic, upper left there appear to be some letters on the edge, I can't quite make them out from the pic though.
