✅ SOLVED Coin ID-Fat Man Silver Dollar

You never know what you'll swing over. Found this Goliath at a 1930 permission. My research shows there are 2 possible years for this coin's mint, 1914 and 1921. Not sure that I can tell the difference and hoping you can nail it down.

Cool find. These coins exist with three different date indications, which are given in the first two characters on the obverse. They’re either 年五 (New Year), 年三 (Year Three), or 年十 (Year Ten). Yours is ‘Year Three’. These terms relate to the formation of the Chinese Republic on 1st January 1912, so ‘Year Three’ is for 1914.

Note that later restrikes with the original dates for the collector market exist, as well as counterfeits intended to deceive. These may or may not be in the .890 fine silver used for the originals. In that condition, originals sell for about $40 at dealer prices.

I see it as a Chinese dollar or yuan. Date would be 1914 but variants would be how the coins edge is decorated. It is silver.....890
