Anyone else catch the episode where the Old Man overpayed $100 for an old Nickel slot machine? As soon as I found out there were Nickels inside, and it was from the 30s, I was thinking "Are there any Wars or Buffs in there?" Rick thought that the Old Man should pay the shop $100, so at the end, the Old Man and another employee open the machine, and try to give Rick the Nickels. Rick says the Nickels are the property of the company and that they need to go back in the cage. Meanwhile the Old Man says "there might be some old War Nickels in there." Rick says "Dad there's no old War Nickels in there." The Old Man pulls out a 1983 and says "I'm going to keep looking through coins, there might be a gem in here."

Ha, I didn't catch that episode, that's hilarious. And Rick is such a stubborn a**h*** that he would totally try to make the old man look crazy for looking for war nics. I'm sure the old man collected coins at some point. He's smart and probably knows about CRH. Hopefully they won't talk about it on the show.

Yeah I got a kick out of that. I've actually heard plenty of stories where someone found a slot machine and it was full of silver coins.

Never said it didn't. I tape both shows each week, even had my picture taken with Rick and Chumbly when they came to a local pawn shop about six months ago during their US tour. Chumbly is nothing in person like he is on TV.....

Friggin love that show! I am a pharmacist here in LV and Rick came into my pharmacy the other day. He's really cool. Brilliant idea for a reality show. Beats the hell outa Flava Flav, Next Top Model, and The Runway. Can't believe how many people watch that stupid sh*t!

And how about the "Storage" auction programs? There are at least 3 on TV now. When they score a unit with coins or bullion, it's like "there's another $20 bill". I would be peeing my pants if I could win a storage unit that had coins, especially old silver coins.

Saw that show. I was freaking out that they were not searching those coins! Even though it might let the cat out of the bag on a very popular show, I wanted to see what was in that machine!!!!

Good thing for us, they made coin searching look like something stupid that old guys do. Meanwhile I'm younger than Corey, and I know about CRH and what can be found after a lot of searching.

He is A friend of my brother sold some stuff there and was on the show. He reported that Chumley messed up his simple lines several times.

Before I found out he was related to Rick I just figured he had some Polaroid's of Rick or the old man with a goat or something

I haven't seen the episode yet, but I'm also glad they made it seem stupid, I don't need more competition Plus to them... a few war nickels isn't gonna pay any bills. They make a crapload off the store, plus the money from the show.
