Coin From Woods ID'd - It's Spanish From 1711
Earlier this evening I posted a coin I found in the old woods today. At the time, I felt it could be the oldest dated coin I've ever dug, and I was right. After cleaning it I was able to read the words Hispaniar and Grat. I then did a google search with those words and came up with the coin. It's Spanish from 1711. The first picture is an example of my coin in excellent condition dated 1710. In the fourth picture the 1711 date is at the 12:00 position.
Type of currency: SEISENIO
Mint: VALENCIA year: 1710
Weight:
Measurement: 25 mm.
obverse: PHILIPPVS V DEI GRAT surrounding to a crowned shield military revolt of castles and lions with escuson by borbones, between F and V
reverso: HISPANIARVM REX 1710 surrounding to V crowned with 6 in its interior
