Well after some helpful tips on this and a few other forums I was able to get my Eclipse 5.3 coil working again! :)

So today the stand off! Coil vs coil...5.3 (my little coin shooter) vs the big stock coil....and the winner is the 5.3! After 3 hours 1 1/2 with each the 5.3 came out slightly ahead and also found a small american flag pin. To bad it was not the 4th! Please enjoy the artwork!

Glad you got that thing fixed and are back in business. Question, if you ran the small coil first, did you only leave the smaller amount of coins for the larger coil? Try the large coil first next time and see if the results are different. LOL ;D

One side of field large coil first, area directly next to it then with small coil...was surprised numbers were so close! Obviously with the heat...hard ground and time it takes to dig a hole I guess that kind of equalled things out..............

Do the coins read the same on both coils?

They seem to but for me I get a better feel for the nickels on the 5.3 The depth sometimes is also a little off with the 5.3 but I have to have one for the trashy areas I hunt. On average 5.3 gives me for a deep hit 6.5....deepest with it I had was 7.5,,,,

How is the all metal pinpoint? Is that effected in any way with the deep coil? I love how the DFX pinpoints! Nothing can escape it! :D

Get a CZ5. I have dug buckshot with a standard coil. I have hunted directly behind a White's and dug fired minie balls.

If you are talking about using a program in all metal mode, I usually don't everywhere I hunt has trash! i am usually using quite a bit of discrimination. if you are just talking about direct pinpoint, the pinpointing is very good.
