Well after some helpful tips on this and a few other forums I was able to get my Eclipse 5.3 coil working again! :)

So today the stand off! Coil vs coil...5.3 (my little coin shooter) vs the big stock coil....and the winner is the 5.3! After 3 hours 1 1/2 with each the 5.3 came out slightly ahead and also found a small american flag pin. To bad it was not the 4th! Please enjoy the artwork!

Got a couple tips...Cleaned everything from coil (which had a small amount of clay stuck on bottom) to blowing out connections with air! Tips I received here did it! :)

Way to go on fixing that coil. I've been thinking about getting one myself. All I have now is the standard 9.5 and it's really hard to get next to other large metal objects. Congrats on your finds!

Hello Gregg!
Those little coils will surprise you. I have a 4.5 x 7 for my SE that I really like. The only problem is you can't make much progress moving. :)

Show us a picture of your repaired coil if you would. Did you Epoxy it as I suggested?

It was not cracked! It was erratic....Think dirt was in a connector or blocking a pin. Also coil had a small spot with clay from forest preserve stuck on bottom! Cleaned tightened everything from coil screw, plug battery connection cables.....fresh charged battery and it seems ok! :o For now...

Hello Gregg!
Yes, right question; wrong person! :(

Someone, somewhere busted their coil, showing pictures the other day of it's guts!
I thought it was you! Boy, was I wrong! :)

Our hawiian friend really had the tip of the day yesterday.
I have been having some issues with my ole trusty machine too of late
so I carefully unpluged and cleaned the connectors on the inside and that seems to have helped mine too. ;D Thanks Finderssz!! ;D

Nice lot of coins and stuff Greg. Glad you're back in business.

Smiles!

Glad you got that thing fixed and are back in business. Question, if you ran the small coil first, did you only leave the smaller amount of coins for the larger coil? Try the large coil first next time and see if the results are different. LOL ;D

Glad you got your coil issue fixed!

Do the coins read the same on both coils?
