On the coil cable I would recommend using 3 n 1 shrink tubing or I can post a link for the wire that is used, just need to know how many wires are in the shell.

Continuous-Flex Multi Conductor Cable Unshielded, 20/4 AWG, .25"

Minelab Excalibur wire, took me years to locate this stuff...

Since it is a PI, they sell shielded coil wire also, but it is a task to get a perfect splice.

Thank you for your valuable input. I may go that route. Waiting for a response from DetectorPro.

Thanks. I may order some shielded wire. Any suggestions how I can splice so close to my coil?

Joining and making sure every thing is water tight can be FUN.....

If you do not get good quality UV rated cable, your going to get cracked and split cables over time. For those on the beach; add some salt water and the problem gets worse....

Short cut on the quality of cable and you will pay for it in the end.
