This is not my find but I took a quick photo of it while at a site. It was found in upstate NY and I think it traces to a Dover, NH textile mill.

Any thoughts on what it was used for?

I can't believe I didn't think to take a photo with a size reference or a photo of the back. I should know better! :) But it is good sized - about the size of a half dollar - and the back is completely blank.

I cant find anything that you havent found. If I were to guess I would say 1900-1918 because of the letter fonts. Richards doesnt have it. . TokenCatalog.com

Well, that title caught my eye, as I lived in Dover for many years and even worked in the mill for a while... But I've never dug one nor seen any in local antique shops, and can't find any references online... Dang, I hope it gets solved.

Thanks for the info from a local :) I saw the finder of the token today and I told him what you said. He said he was thinking about making contact with the area historical society. If I get any more info I will pass it along.
