Cobra Beach Magnet

I recently got a Cobra Beach Magnet, and I already looked on the reviews but didnt get as much info as needed. All I really want to know is if it can find the things more expensive detectors can find. I cant see what it is before I dig it up, cuz mine doesnt have an lcd screen, but i thought maybe mines the same in quality, it just doesnt do that. Any help is appreciated.....thanks

I had one for a couple of days and traded it back for my Sea Hunter Mk II. It is OK I guess but I just didn't feel comfortable with it. It is Chinese made and I guess that's my biggest drawback. It is OK for a no frills water detector I suppose. It will locate targets but the "discrimination" feature is not the best. For someone wanting to get started in water hunting it probably is a good buy. Monty.

I don't care much for decals like cobra eyes and fangs on my detectors. Lightning bolts too don't give me any confidence. The Beach Magnet will help you learn how discrimination works. Make sure you can detect pull tabs as this is where many gold rings will be.
