Coat of Arms with Spanish Conquistador or English Colonist

Dug this at the place Jeff and I have been finding all the Colonial and Civil War relics. It looks to be made from Pewter and old. It has a loop that attached it to a chain or rope, etc....but is broken and probably how it became lost in the first place. Any one seen one identical to it before?

Its not the Braniff logo. It reminds me of the Panamanian Balboa coin but not exactly. So far Im coming up empty. Its looking more like a colonist.

Cypress, I've cleaned it off alittle more and used my Jewelers Loop and now I think I can I.D. the form in the upper left and lower right quadrant. It appears to be a bird, maybe a eagle? in a stylistic A shaped form with its beak facing to its right. The one on top left has the symbol "X X X" below it, while the one on the lower right has "X X" below it.
As for the other symbols, don't know yet

The way the metal is coroded, makes it look like "Pot Metal". A fairly new alloy. Tony

It looks like a fashion watch fob or medal but we dont know for sure until we ID it. The only suggestion I have is to keep bumping it up and hope some of our researchers will find it. Its the combination of resources that make TN's "What Is It" successful in the past, not any one person. Any and all clues may be helpful and if anybody has a idea, no matter how small or silly it may seem, please say so because we dont have much to go on at this point.

If you have any new pics may help. Im thinking its a colonist with a helmet not a Spanish conquistador. The eagle may be an Indian symbol. The 3 x looking marks under one and 2 under the other is interesting. Some kind of pewter coat of arms shield or crest.
