A friend found this in North Central PA in a creek / river - anyone recognize it, or know what it was off of? I'm guessing it was possibly on an old car or piece of equipment, it only has one side, it's about 1.5" in diameter. Trying to find out what type metal it's made of...

Thanks!

I'm certain I've seen that logo before, but can't remember where. But running too low on data time right now to search. :BangHead:

Probably a button. They used to make some with 2 pieces. (front and back)
I like it. What are the letters at the top?

I don't see a "Fleur de lis" on that piece.

The 'fleur de lis' is indicative of the French influence which could also indicate Canada, etc.
I am guessing either the upper left or lower right quadrants contain fleur de lis.
The again, they could represent penguins or ??
Don......

I don't think it's a 2 piece button, this piece is flat and made out of pewter or a lead alloy. No letters on top, that's a crown.

The animals are griffons, and it took me awhile to see the fleur de lis but they are clear to see in the sheild the griffons are holding. I to think french in origin. Very nice , very interesting. Very rare to see Mackaydon stumped over something. Lol!!! Perhaps they are not griffons im not sure now, ithought the tails were wings. Hmmm......
