C'mon Minelab! Quit teasing us!

Well, I watched the video. I saw some nice CG, but not Hollywood grade. Nothing more.

It looks to me like a drone, metal detector...

Maybe they can put a can spray paint on it to mark the spots are supposed to dig :-)

Maybe you can post the treasures you find on eBay for you before you even dug it up!

Maybe it will come pre-programmed with some local hotspots :-)

I'm thinking I need one of those. The finds jump out of the ground! No more diggin'!

They have to let you work up a fever.. then sweat.. before they pop you with the MSRP. That way in only hurts a little.. :laughing7:

Shouldnt this thread read "cmon Fisher quit teasing us"? At least Minelab made good - very good- with the equinox.....unlike the ......yaaaaaaaaaaawn aqua manta......

Chub

I would think that's going to Stall the Equinox sales for the Time-Being.

Of course I'm still against too Accurate of I.D.
Some of the Fun is anticipation & Surprise for me

I should have been born in Missouri, the "show me" state. I never pay attention to commercials. You ought to see the research and test drives when I buy a car. It borders on the ridiculous.

Now I need a pilot licence to swing my coil, thinking Ill get the Apache, pry going to need a net to catch all my finds after the coil pulls them out, now just gotta figure out how to get the net under all those finds from my Apache:icon_scratch:

Yes I've never Bought anything New to the World.
Especially Detectors.

Every New Detector Design has Flaws & Because the Testers Want to Continue being Testers
for the Manufactures they Ignore the Flaws.
Takes at Least a Year or 2 till the Manufactures hear all the legit issues
from Users & address them. even the Equinox is a Bit too new to Satisfy me yet.
By the Time I Buy one, My Guess, an Equinox 2 or XS will appear shortly After :laughing7:

I don't think I Have to Worry about the Vanquish Teasing me if it's Spot on ID on a Gun , Silver Quarter or Gold Coin. Too Much Info, What if that Aluminum Token
Shows up as Aluminum Slug & I Get lazy :unhappysmiley:

Anybody can make a video. The BEST WAY to get a new machine is to walk, drive or fly to a dealer who has one and take it out and try it. Otherwise it will wind up on Ebay in 6 weeks, the spouse will want a divorce because you spent more on it than them, the kids will fail school because they didn't have the "right" clothes and the apocalypse will occur because nature became unbalanced!:notworthy:

Same thing ML did with the Equinox and the CTX 3030, both fantastic detectors. We should learn more over the coming weeks.

TReasure_Hunter, make that months. You are more than welcome to get one before me. I am not in the market for anything right now, but I will certainly let somebody else be a guinea pig for any manufacturers' new machine. I think my Deus had been out two years before I bought one.

Dang, I hope they don't obsolete my Nox before I really learn it!!!

Everyone needs to take a deep breath and relax. First of all, I found the promo video hilarious. Its yet another brilliant bit of Minelab advertising. Whoever runs their ad dept needs a healthy raise. Look at how much they have all the people talking. Same thing with the EQX, same with the CTX.

Heres the basics. It has already been slipped by multiple testers and inside people. This is NOT the next CTX or EQX or E-Trac. This is aimed at the entry to mid-level detecting market. It will be based on the M-IQ technology, but not exactly the same as the EQX. There will probably be several models of it aimed at different market tiers. Since its a multi-freq it will already beat the pants off every other entry level machine. If it turns out to be waterproof (resistant) it will basically be nail in the coffin of many companies.

Just a FYI, the video link above triggers a pop up on my phone saying something about needing to grant permission to track my internet activities.

If I pull this same video up directly on YouTube it plays fine.
So YouTube is wanting to specifically track my browsing activity on Treasurenet?

thats weird, I dont get any notices. But you know every website tracks users whether you want them to or not. TNET is tracking what you click on here, and what outside links you clicks and what sources are linking people back here. If it bothers you, just click NO and go on.

The opening of that video looks like the opening of the Makro Kruzer video. Guy finds junk gets mad and storms off. Imagine finding junk with a metal detector! Why, it's unheard of!!:laughing7:

Well I'm a big boy and know how to handle the issue.
I only mentioned it to others because I never get pop ups like this when clicking on other embedded YouTube videos here.
