Spent about 4 hrs. cleaning the beach today with my 1280X, there was a lot more junk than photographed ;) it was 38*F at 7:30am and the wind was steady at 10-15mph and blowing from the NW which was onto the beach at an angle.
It rained some with some freezing rain mixed in. Had wind against tide for the first 1 1/2hrs. so it was pretty calm, when the tide started coming in it didn't get rough, just quick rollers one after the other.
Hunted in the water for the 1st hr. then moved up to the lane. My hunting partner was with me he was using his Beachunter, he did real good he found a nice Birks Ladies Stainless Steel watch est.$325.00 CAD. Thanks for looking.

Glen you still managed to pull out some coins. I've got 15" of snow in my driveway and the guys are now complaining about having to chop through to much ice for ice fishing.

I still have two 1280's and they are tough machines. Used to have 3 of them. First I got one for diving and when I had to send it in for repairs I got another one so I could still go out. Then I bought the third one with the larger coil for wading. I gave one of them to my brother in law cause he wanted to try water hunting and I can hardly get away without him now. It is nice to have a partner to share time with.

Good Luck,
Sandman

Hey Glenn Like Paul said , Looks like a Florida hunt these days . I'd be better off just going up to Sandmans place and help him shovel snow.. guzz1

Sandman,
I'm liking the 1280 for sure, it is the only md I own right now, it will always have a place in the stable for me no matter how many more machines I buy. I have used it on land and at the beach. I will be using it in freshwater lakes after the thaw, I heard great things about the 1280 in freshwater.
I wish it worked better in the saltwater, I'm sure you know, I have to turn down the sens to 6 or 5 (one time only 7) to keep it from chattering and falsing. I can't stop thinking of the depth I am losing because of that, and it has been really bugging me lately. I have seen and heard of finds from guys at these settings but I am not one of those guys yet.

Too much ice for ice fishing? I would never complain about that ::)
Sorry your snowed in, hope you get an early spring. If the snow gets too much for you to handle just give Guzz1 a call ;D ;D
Good luck in '08,
Glenn

What is this shovel you speak of ? ;D

Looks like a fun time for sure---Good hunt

You guys crack me up. :D I used to get the snow off the driveway as soon as it landed and ya have to clear the walk too. I'd hate to be a mailman and have to walk through all that snow. I only had engery to clean half the driveway and I used a snowblower. I know someone is gonna ask me what that is...............

Anyway I don't have to worry about snow for a while cause all 15 inches melted and the ground is soft for digging. Ice on lakes is unsafe for ice fishing too. Is spring here now?
