Clay "horse" figure.

I was sifting through some dirt and this horse was cemented into the mud, could anyone tell me anything about this?

Looks like a Tang Dynasty souvenir horse. I've seen them in presentation boxes with soldiers but I can't tell for sure. If you have any other pics, would love to see them. Neat find.
