Clad Coins and Bills in Your Pocket Worth More Than Face Value

I am not sure if there may be already a post on this, if there is I apologize, but this is what I aim to do.

I would like to have a thread where everyone can post and learn various coins with die cast problems, misprints, errors, or scarcity that may be just lurking in your pocket at any given time. Basically a "What to Look For" thread. I would like to come up with a comprehensive list of coins and or currencies to look for when going through your everyday money.

I know there are a lot, but the aim of this thread is to lay out the ones with the greatest possible chance to find. Ones that are scare or rare, but not so unbelievably rare the odds of finding one is 1 in 500 million.

Chances are, many of us have had valuable/collectable coins or currency pass through our hands at one point in our lives without even knowing it. The list will help us have a greater odds of capturing this booty.

If possible I would prefer to stick with items that are at least double their face value. We all know about war nickels and pre 65 silver.

A 1943 war nickel isn't worth as must as a 1943 over 2 war nickel.
The multi strike quarter you posted wasn't found in circulation, imo.
How about a 1970 quarter struck on a planchet made from dime stock? I have found at least two of them in circulation but it's been a looooong time.

Here is one
Quarters with the "W" mint mark are usually worth between $8 and $11, but those in MS 67 grade can be worth around $20. Minted in 2019 and 2020

Hi. Yeah it is a thing to look out for. We have had some very obscure irregularities on our coins here that I wish id have known about yrs ago.
Who knows maybe I had one maybe I didn't. Its a good reminder to be vigilant about those things. 👍

Always check your notes for these two things.

1) Mismatched serial numbers. This note sold for $1,500! Usually only one digit is off. Very rare error, but it does happen.

2) Low numbered serial number. Not an error, but still very collectible. This note sold for $115.

I got a ratty 1950 $10 bill in change at Walmart a few years ago. Still have it, since none of my local stores will accept it.
