Hello everyone. Well got out this afternoon for about 3 hours. Hit the spot I hunted last week where I found those Sharps bullets. We knew there were more and wow we were not disappointed. Drops everywhere. Then came the find of the day. Got a strong brass reading on the F75. Dug down and found a civil war spur. Caught the recovery on video. Hope you guys enjoy. Thanks for checking them out.

Thanks guys it really made my day to save some history.

I think you are right Vol..I forgot to even take a picture of the Horseshoe's we dug. I think today we dug 3..Confederate1 dug a real small horseshoe. Never seen one this small it was like 4-6 inches wide. Really small...

Nice bunch of finds, I really like the spur. I would take a group of finds like that at a DIV hunt anyday. Congrats!!

Z, I found one of those near the top of a high hill where a large U.S. Artillery battery was located. I think they are shoes for small mules. It's just above the iron heel plate in the pic. HH, Quindy.

That is the one. Hopefully Confederate1 is looking at the post and see's the picture you posted. Well now that I looked at it he found the Iron Heel Plate. Not a horseshoe at all. Ok now it makes sense. I didn't think the Civil war soldiers had mini horses.

You two had an awesome hunt!! That spur will display real nice. I have never dug one but a newbe that I brought out with me one time dug one about 5 feet from me one time. He tried to give it to me but I told hime to keep it.

That was nice of ya Birdman. Well this place may hold some more relics. We were hoping for a Buckle. It still may be in there somewhere. We think most of the goodies are across that fence in my video. We don't have permission to be over there. But we might be able to obtain it. That would be real nice.

VERY COOL! :icon_thumleft: where were ya? in a park? i see the chain link fence just in front of hole.

I was near an old home. The fence surrounded the old home property. I dug that spur real close to the fence. Thats why we think there are more relics on the other side of the fence.

more great stuff over the fence ..get permission and hit it hard :icon_thumleft:

Wow! :o That's one beautiful looking spur you found there,
love the bullets too. Is there a chance that you might get it
straightened on the one side . . . or is there a chance that it
might stress and break? :dontknow:

Antiquarian I am gonna leave it be. I just ran water over it to wash some of the dirt off of it. Did not want to wash any of the green patina off of it so I am just gonna leave it alone. Heck just having a video of me recovering it is good enough for me.

I hear you . . . I guess I'm always thinking of ways to restore an item whenever
possible to increase it's value and importance for prosperity.

Hope you get permission to hunt the next property over the fence.
