Civil war relics I dug on 12-17 & 18

I got out for about 3 hours on the 17th and dug 5 sharps, a percussion cap, a brass rivet, an iron canister ball and part of a pocket knife. As I was leaving I got a faint signal and about 18 inches down got a few nails and saw ashes and bones. I knew I had a pit but didn't have time to dig it so closed it up. I went back the next day. The pit was about 3 feet deep and about 4 feet square all I got out of it was nails and cow bones. After I covered the pit I hunted for about 2 hours and got 2 sharps, a rough eagle button, and a decent eagle A button. As a bonus I got a piece of clay pipe stem and an arrowhead out of holes I dug metal from. I can't make out the backmark on the A button but by the type of eagle it was probably made by D. Evans

It is strange how 2 similar things can be dug close together and be in such different conditions, isn't it.
Yeah I was happy when I dug the R. but no lie, While I was looking at it a buddy called and said he was trying his new TDI in Brandy and had just dug a Vermont and a New Jersey button and the day before dug 3 British Sea Service bullets. Talk about ruining someones day. ha ha

OK If it does I'll probably go into some deep depression and have to be hospitalized and put on meds and go through years and years of therapy. I know you don't want that on your conscience
