civil war relics, first silver and an awesome 40's soda sign!

This week's finds! Went to the bullet hole for about 30 mins, got a really cool smashed .69 cal that I think is homemade, a nice 2 ringer pistol bullet and a couple of musket balls.

Next, I went to a site I have been wanting to hit for a while, it was a speak easy in the 20s, and was recently torn down :(
not much, but I only hunted a very small part of the property, so I plan to go back.

Any ideas on this? most of it is brass, but the top is made out of a different kind of metal. hmmmm :icon_scratch:

Also went to a old camp with the cub scouts and decided to bring the detector, but I only expected it to be 70's. I guess I was wrong!

Congrats on your first silver, I love that sign too!

Nice sign! The small round copper piece is the end from and industrial size fuse. The hole in the end is where the copper bar was soldered in place. It would have been crimped onto a nonconductive tube made out of stuff that looked like cardboard. I think they called them knife blade fuses.

Enjoy!
