Civil war pocket bible

Not being sure if this is the right guy (name) or not still i looked some more up on Michael Slart. Some of the documents were hard to read but most of the writing was legible.
Michael Slart - Private 8th Ohio Inf. Co. "A" (Volunteer Enlistment -June 11 1861, Tiffin Ohio and Discharge - July 13,
1864 Cleveland Ohio ( it looks like that was the end of his service term but I also saw something that
appeared to read "Chronic Malaria")
- born 1841 Seneca Co. Ohio
- died 4/11/1932 National Soldiers Home Dayton, Ohio
- buried Dayton National Cemetery
- He was admitted for about a month at North Western Branch National Home for Volunteer Soldiers ,
Wisconsin in 1877 - ( gunshot wound to arm and fever)
- Temporarily admitted to National Soldiers Home Dayton, Ohio October 1886 and was fully admitted
March 13, 1888 ( age 45 yrs., occupation Bridge Builder ) ( This was a really nice place for veterans to
live. Look it up if you get a chance)
- One document showed that he had a brother ( George ) living in Silver City Nevada in 1877
- " " " " his fathers name was also George and born in Pennsylvania; his mother
was born in Michigan
- It appears that he was never married and had no children.
- About seven months after he died The National Soldiers Home in Dayton sold his personal effects for
.25 cents. If this is your guy maybe it was his pocket bible that they sold.
