Nice find pedroliveira! Unfortunately, you picture is on the dark side and hard to read, etc.

Well I'll try to upload a better one after lunch. It says superior quality on the back and on the front has an eagle with a big shield with an I in it

I hoped you passed the algebra test/homework as well :)

There's some new pictures (and I did pass the math homework) ;)

Nice find, Pedro....the only thing I ever found in Louisville was a ticket to boot camp, lol.

Sweet button!!!

Ahhh, nice to see some goodies coming out of the ground where I used to hunt. :)

Your eagle button is as clean as it is going to get. Does it seem like it's not? :D Leave the patina on, yet remove the dirt--and you have done that. Furthermore, you can read the design, and the backmark, so congrats on a nice one.

In terms of value...less than 20 bucks.

Regards,

BB

Looks like an 1830's button, from the backmark. Might have been from a pre-Civil War camp site, or re-used by Confederates. Better than your average CW Infantry I button. Nice!
