Civil war bullet stuck to this? What is it?

I found this metal detecting by an old civil war battle spot in mccoole Maryland. It has a bullet stuck to it and appears to be powder burnt on the other side. Did it get shot off a rifle possibly? Help me Identify this please?

Brass I just scratched it

It shines crazy in the light but it's yellow looking brass. The part stuck to it looks lead

No idea what it is but it almost looks like a conglomeration of metal from a fire.

How do you know its a civil war bullet?

to my eyes you've found a brass battery terminal with lead post still attached.

What battle was this.? Where was the location of this battle? I only know of one battle that happened in mccoole maryland.
