Got out into the button field again. It is snowing a little, but no accumulation and the ground is not frozen at all. We may get a few more weeks of detecting up here. Only have to be careful of the deer hunters. I'm wearing bright yellow and orange. A guy in the town over was hunting in a field and his "friend" shot and killed him. Thought he was a coyote he said (come on now, an orange coyote). There are some very dumb people out there and they have guns. They give the careful and good hunters a bad name. Anyway. Found a real nice pocket brass watch key, from around 1800 along with a large late 1700 tombac colonial button, an old iron harness buckle and a 38-40 caliber ball. Only had about an hour. Its looking good for a whole day of detecting on Saturday. Will let you know how it goes. Thanks for looking....Lance
