What a cool token find! The token catalog ref. found by Dave dates it to about 1940. I think "Joe" was a man named "Joseph Valent." This newspaper story from 1936 makes mention of his cafe at that address - though they call it "Valent's" cafe." I think it could be the same operation as Joe's Cafe. Maybe a name change or just how the place was commonly known.

There was also a August Zimmer at that same address. who sold "wine by the glass" (pursuant to a permit).

Another source reads: Zimmer'sWine Company of Cincinnati pressed about 30,000 gallons of winefrom grapes purchased from the Lake Erie islands before the deathof August Zimmer in 1964.
