The coin is a Chinese Cash Coin from the Qing (Ch'ing) Dynasty (1644-1911). If you scroll down to the last section of the below link you'll see several examples of this coin, you'll just have to match your characters on the one side to determine which one you have.

Here's the side I can figure out, it's the other side you'll have to match.

You’re vacationing in Clinton Mass?? Just up the street from me. Fun fact: Clinton has more bars per capita than any other city in the country, also a great place to get busted for OUI if you so desire.

Really like that button, what is the motif? Looks like a religious scene to me

The button appears to be a Victorian era 1-piece stamped-brass "cutout" picture-button. To me, it shows a scene of Courtship in China during that era. The figure on the left of the scene is a man, having a Chinese-style narrow beard, hat, Chinese man's hat, and Chinese man's pigtail. His hand, which is palm-downward, appears to be placing something in the woman's hand, which is palm-upward, and cupped to receive the gift. Note also, she is leaning outward toward him, from her low-walled porch, as her other hand clings to one of the porch roof's columns. To me, it looks like a male-comes-a'courtin' scene.

He may be holding her hand and pulling her close to whisper something to her. "Nothing, sweet nothing!"? "Have you ever heard of the Beetles?"

"Listen, do you want to know a secret?
Do you promise not to tell? Whoa oh, oh

Closer, let me whisper in your ear
Say the words you long to hear
I'm in love with you. Ooh-ooh-ooh"

Best wishes and congrats on your cool finds!
