Dug this kewl ring this morning at a battlefield site in Spotsylvania,Virginia that we have permission to hunt before they turn it into a subdivision (what's new right?) I don't know if this could be from a child that was a drummer or flag boy but it makes you wonder.. don't know, I can only wonder.. Is that a Texas star on it? Not sure.. I enjoyed digging it and got a thrill regardless if it is Civil War or not.

More battlefield history lost. It happened to Bristoe Station and the Ox Hill battlefield was, except for a tiny parcel of land, totally consumed by developers.
