Chester Logsdon Relics

[FONT=&quot]A number of years back my wife and I bought a small cabin close to mammoth cave KY.

Some time later the folks in the area had a small party and while there I spoke to a guy there who was the brother to the builder of the cabin we bought. This guys wife father owned a farm about 20 minutes away.

The guy emailed me and said his father-in-law was wanting to sell his collection and asked me if I was interested.

[FONT=&quot]Way back (I think 1950's through the 1970's) the father-in-law and his friend Chester (who owned the neighboring farm) used to hunt for relics. This is an area of steep cliffs around creeks and rivers. [/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]I contacted father-in-law and he gave me his asking price. Chester went into a home some time back, and he had possession of Chester's finds as well as his own.

I contacted two of my relic hunting buddies in the area, pooled some cash and made plans to meet up in KY to view the collection.

[FONT=&quot]When we arrived to few the collection at the farm. It took us a while to view all the relics. My buddies quickly gave the code word they definitely were interested and wanted to purchase. [/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]We exchanged cash and loaded up. The collection completely filled my Chev Tahoe rear area and passenger seats. Once we returned to the cabin we enjoyed a full weekend splitting up all the relics and having some cold brews.[/FONT]
