Hi All,

I am headed up for a last minute trip to explore the area near Mariposa for a few days.

I leave on friday and can be up there for as long as a week.

I had originally planned on camping, but now would like to know if there are any cheaper hotels near the area, that are not too far from Mariposa, or located in sketchy areas...

Thanks in advance, I know its last minute...

Plenty of camping at Briceburg, Heaton, Railroad flats ect... And the Merced should be falling and exposing some fine bedrock.

No such thing as cheap in Mariposa as founding fathers slapped down a building moratorium many years ago and cheapest in the summer I ever found $100+ with taxes + bs charges-John

Miners Inns isn't a bad place. Depending on when you will be staying they sometimes drop the rates. I stayed there for 65 bucks a night late last year. There is a restaurant and a bar on the property.
There is also the KOA campground up 140 toward Yosemite and Briceberg. As mentioned Briceberg has a few nice campgrounds. A very popular spot during the summer months.
