Hello all! I had a great time the past 2 weekends in Charleston (1 day last & 3 days this weekend) I found some neat relics along with my first heel plate. I didn't find anything amazing but still saved some nice pieces of history & made some new friends. We took a boat out Sunday to a remote location. I didn't find much but it was neat to be on such a historic Civil War site. The company was good as well! Any help on the what's its would be appreciated. Thanks for looking & HH! (yes, it's pic heavy, I dug a lot!) Spyglass is my guess.
Telescoping spyglass eye piece.

That overall military button has 13 stars. Could be more historic than you think. Colonial?

Those what is it look like tent or raincoat grommets. Could be civil war.

The gear looks like its from a clock. Was it found near the key?

Didn't find anything amazing?
That stuff was amazing! That 13 star button looks like something special.
Very nice finds. I was gonna say which one's I liked the best, but I liked them all.
WTG!

Thanks etex, I knew it wasn't very old but probably military. The one mystery piece could be something off binoculars or a spy glass, I'll look into it. That's a great guess, if you have any supporting images that'd be awesome.

That's a lot of great finds. Got to love the potential for awesome finds in and around Charleston.

Yeah, there is always great potential for a wide range of different finds. I'd say I had quantity over quality this time around but I'm still happy. (although I'd be happier with a slave tag, nice button or coin!)

Pretty neat to find the actual mouthpiece portion of the pipe.

I collect pipe stems and bowl pieces and have filled a large Mason jar over half full. I can tell you I have only found one mouth piece portion so far. As common as hen's teeth.

Hmmm that button is very interesting. Thought it was a rattlesnake at first. I'd def send some pics of that off to a couple of experts. Let me know if you want a couple of emails bud. I'm very intigued

Nice finds Josh. Congrats. With the nice weather last weekend, and the ocean... looks like a really great time. GL&HH.

Just being honest, Josh. Your quantity has a LOT of quality. I would be tickled pink to have found all of those goodies except for the Roosevelt dime. I would have tossed that back. Great job!!!

it's nothing special, probably WW2 like someone suggested. It's not very old, should've posted a photo of the back. I still like it though, cool design
