✅ SOLVED Ceramic thingy

Have been detecting the river and have been finding a lot of old bottles in the process. Also found insulators and this thingy. Any idea what it might be? Seems to be ceramic.

I've always referred to those as Nippers.
Yours is a paper label verity and pretty common. It would have had some sort of advertisement on the label.
The German whiskey nippers or ‘Nips’ as some call them come in a bunch of styles and are more collectable.
They were all given out by Saloon and Shop keepers to advertise there business.
I couldn't find your "NIP" but here is some German ones.

My mother is an avid collector of antiques on display in her bathroom is an old can of tooth powder. When I was a teenager we were out of toothpaste and I decided to use some of the hundred year old tooth powder on my brush. Tasted just like toothpaste and worked twice as well I don't know why anyone ever went to a paste in the first place. I eventually used up all of moms antique tooth powder LOL
