Primary Interest:
Metal Detecting
Looks like a figure from puppet shows.
Punch and Judy, etc.
Possibly a plaque with such an image. I’ve seen a lot of mugs/steins with similar faces.

Good ID.

Having been found in Germany it will be Kasper rather than Mr. Punch but they're analogous to one another, having their roots in 16th-century Italian commedia dell'arte and the Neapolitan stock character of Pulcinella, which was initially anglicized to Punchinello. The puppet shows and traditional storylines in which they featured developed independently in several countries: Germany (Kasper, possibly derived from the name of one of the three Magi in nativity story); England (Mr. Punch); and France (Guignol), but often included several of the same characters, including a crocodile.

The Kasper character as such first appeared in Munich in 1858 in a marionette play called ‘The Enchanted Lily’ by Graf Pocci but the first documented appearance of a Mr. Punch character in England was on 9th May 1662.

Yes... but is "pin" an actual ID? :laughing7:
Well of course it is.

You can add the story book of knowledge of said pin... :)

Now... of course i could have done a Google Search to find said pin... but hey... i am a firm believer in throwing a bone and then someone else (op) fetching it. :P
Sheesh they gotta learn somehow.
Cant hold the handlebars heh

Anyway,,,, i kinda like solving WITHOUT the searches.... searches for me are secondary.
IF i know it... OR think i know it... i state it.
And if i do not agree with others assessments... THEN i may search.... unless i just know... then time consumed averted.
