Re: Celtic ring?

Interesting ring templar, not sure about the age though. I would place 1920's or 30s but the mounting will help date it. I haven't seen gold build up like that with that greenish/coppery oxidation. Put it in some hydrogen peroxide over a low heat, I use a coffee pot placed on the heating element of the coffee maker.

I agree. 1930s to 1940s would be my gut instinct. And not gold, for the reasons DJ Quinn mentioned. Might've been gold plated originally, however.

The fob (or maybe it is a religious medallion like you say) is quite interesting. I wish we could make out what its inscription says.

Re: Celtic ring?

Added some new pictures. Well, i use hydrogen peroxide but no effect. If gold, definitively not plated (see pic) What else can it be? Nice yellow shine... Ahh, i am still waiting for my first gold in this hobby... And about the ring... one more picture from the rear side.

Best regards

After looking at the bottom. Sorry.... Toy Ring or Costume type ring.
As far as the medallion. Not enough detail. It appears to be brass...
