Hi I hit a cellar hole that is just full of iron. I used my 5" coil and went very very slow. I got lucky and picked an 1864 IH out of the bottom of the hole, a super crappy signal but a nice coin. I also managed a very nice flat button and a rather interesting button with a dove carrying some branches. I believe the dove signals peace. I need to research this one. The back mark is rice and I can't quite tell what the other lettering is. Also found was a small musket ball that looks a bit chewed up. I have few "what is its" that I will post on the other forum after I clean them up a bit. Thanks for looking.

The button is a civilian button called a "flat" button. I would guess it is from the 1820's to the 1850's. Check the back for writing, such as "plated" or "gilt" (Silver plated or gold plated).

My guess is if you found that button and an 1864 IH there are sure to be some Large Cents. Do not walk, RUN back!!

there is a chance...
