This is driving me nuts, I can see what is clearly a ship or a boat with a single square sail in the foreground and the top bit I have not identified. A small hole in the bottom right of the plate.
About 1.2mm thick, non magnetic, possibly zinc.
Found on a beach near where a large canal was dug connecting a lake with the Stockholm Archipelago in the 19th century. My theory is that the canal excavation had disturbed this relic and the surface area of the fragment allowed it to be pushed on land by the gentle currents of the Baltic. There is low salt content in the Baltic sea and nearly no tide so it could easily have survived a long time in the water.
What do you reckon?
Runes? Vikings? Middle ages?
I don't think we will ever know for sure what it is but when it's from might be possible.
I will post it on my youtube channel next week maybe.
