Went out today with Mastereagle and hunted at a school we hit last week. We were really only trying to add to our clad count. We added to our clad count...but not much. Here is mostly what we found:

Aluminum...tons of it. This is everything I dug today!

My clad chest is getting pretty heavy though. I would say I have close to 900 coins right now. Not too bad for 7 months swinging a detector. :-\

Hi:

Like the chest where you are keeping the clad. I have mine in a plastic jug under the bed, my kids would dig in it if I left it out in the open. Not sure what I will do with it...what are your plans?

I love the treausre chest too! I think I'll find one for my clad......you're doing great there!

That's a ton of trash. At least you two got out. Hope next time you have a pile of good keepers, good luck, keep em coming!

Smiles!

Well thanks for inviting me BB. I had fun even though there wasn't a lot of finds!

I got the big can ready so lets start tossing our aluminum into it and we will cash it in at the end of the year and go get a steak!

You are going to have to make yourself a big chest like mine, only better someday to put your stuff in! :)

Looks like you were busy inbetween seeding can slaw etc ;)

Cool chest, too! It looks like it is a "treasure chest," no matter what it started out being.

Love reading the different accounts - you guys are a hoot

Boobydoo,
Yeah, so many of those run in like coins but would be slightly deeper. We thought it better just to dig a little deeper and get all that crap out of there. This area is huge!

Dunky and Southern,
Thanks for your comments on the treasure chest. It is going to get a little too small pretty soon. I purchased this one on eBay for 25 bucks. I found one for 100 bucks that is unfinished and about the right size. I think I will eventually buy it and finish it out myself to look all authentic. In answer to the questions about what to do with the clad...I think I will clean it and then take it to the bank and cash it in for those new gold presidential coins. I got the idea from one of Stormtroopers post. (I think it was him). It's all my booty and I'm gonna keep it. ;)

I am glad you had a good time. I have been giving you a lot of heck lately, but I really did have a good time. Read my earlier post to see what plans I have for a treasure chest. I really need a larger one. I have a bag of can trash for you when I see you tomorrow. Let's see how much we can stash and buy something our wives don't know about.

ivan salis,
I bought it on eBay. About 25 dollars. It had lion head feet on it, but it made it look funny, plus one was broke. I took them off. I think it looks ok without them.

Ricardo,
Thanks, I am holding my own. I am still no DFXGreg or anything. ::)

Nan,
Yeah, we dug a lot of signals. ME22 just thinks I was seeding. I don't do that. Only he does that. The scamp! ;D

As you know BB I despise plants and I have NEVER planted one seed in my entire life!

Ok once when I was in first grade in a little hand painted styrofoam cup. :) :D ;D

When I go to the forest preserves that is what happens to me...cans and more cans very frustrating... but I am always willing to give it another shot...tomorrow my spot is predetermined by doctors appointment,,,park a few blocks away..but we are getting hit with a lot of rain so may try forest preserve again on Wednesday... :) keep plugging away...

Man, I hate the local schools with all the aluminum cans. Those law mowers go over them and send that shredded aluminum everywhere. :P I don't bother digging the nickel tones at those sites.

Hey BB,
Those first two pics are full of those "quarter's" that my Spectrum I.D.'s ;D

Just remeber, what trash you pick up today won't be there the next time you go back. ;D You did a good job on the clads even with all that slaw there. Saving the cans and going out for a nice stake sounds good! ;D ;D
HH you two and keep us laffin'
