🔎 UNIDENTIFIED Can you see it?

In 1976 I was at a viewing point at The Old Man In The Mountains. Being just a kid I was rooting around in the dirt which was like dark loom soil and I noticed a rock that was different than anything around. I dug it out and held it up and couldn't believe it. Am I the only one who sees this and is there a way to see if it actually is carved?

Hi, I do see what you see. Can you take a old toothbrush & clean it up some? Is it hard or soft rock?

It's very hard rock. The only reason I kept it for over 45 years is because there was no other rock like it in the area. Being just a kid I noticed it was different so I picked it up. It stuck out like a sore thumb. If I remember correctly the other rock in the area was all grey granite. Loads of it so just by looking at the color of this you can see how it stuck out. I grew up in N H. (The Granite State) and believe me when I tell you that grey granite is everywhere. I thought it might be sandstone or limestone but this thing is hard. Im not too familiar with stone so I'm just making my best guess. It does feel like granite ans is heavy, but as I stated it was all grey. Here are some more photos from varying angles.
