Can you identify this CW Button my bro found out in field a few moments ago?

My bro Chris sent me a pic of a CW cuff button he just found...this was found in NW GA and it does vaguely resemble the three columns and dome of a GMI ensignia, but not quite enough to me. Anyone have any idea of this button? I told him I'd post it here on TN and see if he can get an answer while he is still hunting. He isnt sure if there is any gilt on it, he hasnt cleaned it up.

Thanks, hutch911 i hadnt cleaned it up yet, im going clean it in a miniute. also found a eagle cuff button at the same place.
